My Top Issues

Our nation has some issues. We also have a lot we can do to move forward.

Homeless Veterans

In 2017, I sold everything, packed my car, and traveled to 33 states in this beautiful nation with my Chihuahua, Boomer. For two years, I passed out survival gear to 312 homeless veterans along with other people in need I met along the way.

I decided to run for office serving NC District 5 after neither Democrats nor Republicans in DC had time to talk to me about my proposed Character by Integrity Act which offers sustainable, permanent solutions to many of the recurring housing issues we face.

Now, I will make sure it gets done.

The Social Security, Medicaid, & Medicare Protections Act

You've paid into it; you deserve it. Social Security, Medicaid, & Medicare must be expanded, not cut.

I propose that if a government agency cannot pass an audit, it cannot be given a larger budget. Conversely, passing audits opens budget doors.

Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare regularly pass audits; the Pentagon never has.

If the Pentagon deserves a new $1 trillion defense budget without passing an audit, we can certainly justify expanding what every American has already paid for and deserves.

Get your house in order before coming for mine.

The Patient Priority Act

The Patient Priority Act provides legal protections to healthcare providers for administering life-saving medical procedures.

In many states, healthcare providers' efforts to care for patients are hampered due to intrusive and oppressive laws.

Decisions between providers and patients should be private. Providers should never be ordered to compromise their patients' health and safety to avoid criminal charges.

First, do no harm.

No Stock Trades For Elected Officials

The current proposed bipartisan legislation is not thorough enough. Federal servants with vested interest in companies benefiting from legislation or government contracts should not be allowed to own stock in those companies.

I will expand the proposed legislation to include direct and indirect family members and nullify committee voting power for those who own stocks in the affected companies.

Stop digging into our pockets to deepen yours.

National Conflict of Interest Bill

This bill nullifies votes that award government contracts to special interest groups or corporations in which a Congressperson or their family members has a vested interest.

This bill would also apply to corporate donors who have found loopholes for legalized corruption made possible by the US Supreme Court.

Represent us, not yourselves.

Incumbent Representative Campaign Reform

I believe that if an incumbent's net worth is over $10 million, they should cover 75% of their campaign funds themselves rather than ask for donations.

My proposal insists on this and that they must match any individual or corporate donations they accept penny-for-penny before meeting the quarterly 75% threshold.

Rich candidates: put your money where your mouth is.

Congressional Wage / Minimum Wage Reciprocity Act

Any increase in congressional salaries would be matched by the same percentage increase to the federal minimum wage.

Congress consistently complains that rising costs affect them. It's beyond time they understand that rising costs affect those they supposedly represent, too.

Make Congress earn their money just like the rest of us.

The Policing Wellness Act

This national mandate requires that law enforcement officers receive randomized, functional psychological evaluations. Law enforcement takes a mental and emotional toll and, systemically, the message stands that addressing these tolls is 'weak'.

This proposal ensures LEOs receive the emotional help they need which will simultaneously lower police brutality cases and civil suits that cost cities and taxpayers billions of dollars.

Good cops make good communities; bad cops abuse all communities.

The Due Process Act

The Due Process Act ensures that federal agencies cannot detain and/or imprison anyone in any facility without due process. State oversight is mandated for custody of individuals in federal custody.

Should individuals be apprehended without a judicial warrant stating the name of those apprehended, due process has not been met and the actions are unconstitutional.

Due process for all.

Zero Kings Act

Our Founding Fathers implemented our system of checks and balances in the US Constitution for a reason.

No one is above the law, regardless which political party is in control.

The United States has ZERO KINGS.
